Last week, we caught up with the fashion fanatic, violet-haired blogger So Pretty Little ThingsThis week, we interview Catia, an InstaBlogger who loves photography and audiovisual media. Discover Catia, a young lady who is a curious kitten, with a penchant for animals.

M – You’re a film and audiovisual media student and you’re also an InstaBlogger! Could reveal more about yourself?
C – Hello artists and Méduse! I am Catia with a C, I am 23 and I am passionate about the arts. I like simplicity, travelling, exploring and exotism. By the way, one of my wishes is to travel around the world. I am also a very positive person. Despite negative things, I try to see the best out of a bad situation. It permits me to go on and to not feel downhearted. Happiness comes first from yourself, don’t you think? So, I blossom and share my good vibes to everyone. I don’t like to be surrounded by grumpy people!

M –  Animal protection is a very important cause to you. You have several animals yourself, could you introduce them to us? And if you had to pick your favourite animal, what would it be?
C – Yes, I loooove animals! I have a dog, a cat and a few birds. If I could look after several animals or found a refuge, I would do it. I always lived with animals, since I was young; looking after and protecting them. For me, animals are very important, just like nature and they deserve respect. My favourite? That’s a tricky one! I love all animals so much from teeny tiny shells to gigantic whales.

M – Has being a film student influenced the way you take snapshots?
C – I’m not sure to be honest… I study theoretical cinema and photography which gives me good practice for my hobby. I’m no professional, but taking pictures and working with light is essential. I hope to improve myself and I want to pursue my studies in cinema pictures a bit more.  Finally, I think that the arts is something that can’t be taught. You either you have a sensitive feeling for art or not. I certainly have an artistic side, which has pushed me to study this field. And to link a personal passion to a job is so rewarding.

M – And now for your challenge! What are your favourite Méduse boots? Could you prepare us an outfit showing off your personal style with a pair of our boots?
C – This the look I was thinking about… I chose the Jumperic boots, paired with some boyfriend jeans, a black jacket, a silver ring and a planet bag for a quirky touch.

M – Thanks Catia for joining us this week! You’re totally right about having that knack for the arts – we certainly do feel like arty farties ourselves! Check out her awesome snapshots on her Instagram here!

Last week, we caught up with 5Pockets Team, who gave us a masterclass on denim. This week, we discover Jess of Soprettylittlethings, a violet-haired blogger passionate about fashion cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

‘I have chosen the Jumpat boots because I think they’re perfect with its touch of camel.’

M – Hey there Jess ! So we’ve spotted that you’re a fashion, beauty, cooking and lifestyle blogger. Could you tell us some more facts and features about yourself?
J – Hi everyone, I’m Jess, a blogger from the south of France. I am crazy about fashion, rugby, cooking and Disney (yes, I have a range of different passions!) I like to share my personal loves and interests with my readers but I also involve my boyfriend with whom I do style articles with from time to time.

M – We noticed on your blog that you showcase a lot of gluten-free recipes – we can hear our stomach rumbling! When did you start to cook without gluten? And do you have a favourite recipe for winter?
J – It’s been quite a while since I’ve been cooking gluten-free, but I’m not doing it because it’s in trend or as a diet, but because I’m gluten intolerant, thus I can’t eat it. There are loads of comforting recipes in winter, and one of my favourites is chocolate cake – it’s my guilty pleasure!

M – We also noticed that you’re a big fan of deco! What’s the ‘must have’ of this season?
J – For fashion and deco this season, the top trend is texture and materials – you have to experiment, get creative and play with them! We’re moving away from the once trendy marble and metal features, to wood, which will become popular once again around the home.

M – We have a challenge for you! Could you choose your favourite pair of Méduse shoes (high boots or ankle boots) and create a styleboard? You can pick up all the clothes and accessories that’s right up your street!
J – I have chosen the Jumpat boots because I think they’re perfect with its touch of camel (one of my favourite colours). They’re versatile and can be paired with skirts, dresses, shorts, jeans and trousers. They are classic and modern at the same time. I’ve paired them with winter clothes, with a slight boho theme!
