Méduse Talks With… Sarah Sakusei

10 Mar , 2015

LOVE IS IN THE AIR!  Doo, doo, doo! Doo, doo, doo!

Yes yes, we’re feeling a little lovey dovey this week! And we’re especially feeling some big time love, for this ukelele rockin’ YouTube star…

Stop what you’re doing, cause we’re handing over the microphone to singing starlet Sarah Sakusei! We had a few Q’s for her and well, this jelly-lover gave us all something quite special…

You caught our eye when you recently tweeted about jelly shoes! So here’s the 1000 dollar question – what colour gets you going?

For me, transparent! They go well with everything and I feel they’re very unique looking.

It looks like you can’t wait to put your jellies on, for the summer! What do jellies mean to you ? Do they spark memories from childhood or chilling at the beach?

I can’t wait to wear mine all summer! To me, jelly shoes symbolize long days at the beach and adventuring with the people I love. I also remember wearing them as a child, and they fill me warm memories of spending quality time with my family.

On your Bandcamp account, you describe yourself as a ‘big goofball with some talent’ What do you mean by that?

I describe myself as such because I love to laugh and goof around, but I am also very serious about my music and sharing it with the world!

We are amazed by your talent on your Youtube channel and we would like to propose you a challenge: we challenge you to sing a song about Méduse!

[THIS IS AMAZING GUYS! TRUE JELLY LOVE, AT YOUR SERVICE!]

That uh-maaayzing song tells us that you’ve got a great taste in music, so we give you the power to be our guest DJ! Pick the 5 songs that have you toe-tapping all day long?

My top five songs to listen to lately are Souvenirs by Orla Gartland, Every Other Freckle by alt-J, Don’t Look Back Into The Sun by The Libertines, I Wanna Go by Yuna, and Don’t Stop by Annie. This was by far the most difficult question!

And there you have it! We’re guessing you’re still humming along to the Méduse song? Yep? Join the club.

We want to say a huge thank you to Sarah Sakusei, for her words and musical notes! What an amazing star, who think will be a jelly-tastic star on YouTube! All those in favour of getting the Méduse Song to number 1? We hear all of you!
