Méduse talks with… The Clothes Paper

28 Oct , 2015

Last week, we quizzed Made in France follower Mamzelle H, who shared a taste of her creative mind and ventures. This week, we chat to Constance, blogger of The Clothes Paper!
If she’s not riding horses in our FLAMBOY boots, she’s eyeing up her next accessory! Yes, joining us today is Constance, a creative, a beauty lover and DIY pro.

“My dream would be to go to New-Zealand!”

tresse-de-côté
M- What’s your favourite fashion accessory that you take with you wherever you go?
C – My favourite accessory has to be my new Chloé bag, a second-hand purchase. I sold a lot of my clothes to get myself a kitty, and after three years I managed to buy this beauty for half the price – I only needed to throw in another £3!
t-shirt-coffee
M – You’re a true jet-setter! What destination did you like most?
C – Among the countries I’ve visited, my vote goes to Egypt. I’ll always remember the feeling of exploring the rooms in the Abou Simbel temple by myself… It was amazing! I was lucky enough to be there when there wasn’t that many tourists… Now my dream would be to go to New-Zealand!
bottes-marrons-et-noires
M – What are your three favourite songs at the moment which ALWAYS put you in a good mood?
C – The first one is a bit old but definitely one of my essentials. It’s All summer long by Kid Rock. It reminds me of ‘my youth’! Then I’d say Sugar by my beloved Maroon 5. Finally, something a bit more new, it’d have to be Cheerleader by OMI, that’s often played!

M – We have a challenge for you! The new collection Autumn – Winter 2015 / 2016 is out now! So we challenge you to create a styleboard with one of your fave pairs!
C – Here is my look, in Jumpleo: A Balsamik Trench coat, an umbrella from Lollipops, a pair of tights by Asos and a dress from Zara!

Not only does she have a sweet taste in tunes, her autumn fashion is on point! Thanks for joining us Constance! Keep up to date with her blog and Instagram, for more musings around Paris.

Méduse talks with… Mamzelle H

21 Oct , 2015

Last week we caught up with DIY lover and foodie Mamzelle_ji who shared a mouth watering recipe and her style picks to match with our JUMPLEO boots! This week in the hot seat is Mamzelle Héloïse!

She stands proud to support the Made in France movement and she isn’t afraid to show the world what she’s got! Let us introduce fashion and lifestyle blogger from Bordeaux, Mamzelle Héloïse…
Mamzelle Heloise

I support French entrepreneurs and designers to support their recognition.”

M – Mamzelle H ! You’re a fashion and lifestyle blogger, what made you start blogging?
MH – The desire to share, interact, exchange… my friends encouraged me to go for it, and as a communication manager I thought it’d be fun to work for myself :-)
heloise
M – We’ve noticed that, like Méduse, you were a Made in France supporter. How does it influence your style ?
MH – The Made in France movement is something I deeply believe in – not just for consumption but the people behind it. I support French entrepreneurs and designers to support their recognition… To me, they have a true added value compared to ‘made in China.’ There are a lot of taxes in France and it’s hard to compete with the fashion industry giants, so I try as much as I can to promote these people. Eventually, I’m like everyone else and I shop at H&M, Zara… but my long term and frequent partners are only French brands.
made-in-france
M – De quelle série êtes vous totalement fan en ce moment ?
It’s not very original but I love The Walking Dead, Games of Thrones and Breaking Bad… besides these, I don’t watch TV that much so I don’t know many more.

M – We have a challenge for you! The new collection is out now so we challenge you to create a styleboard with your fave pair!

Well that’s our plans for the weekend – hit the town in our FLAMBOY boots, and settle down with a good boxset! Thanks for joining us Mamzelle! Explore her Instagram and blog, for tips on fashion and Bordeaux lifestyle!

Méduse talks with… Mamzelle_ji

14 Oct , 2015

Last week we caught up with Garazi Beloki, a talented dancer and model from Spain! This week, you’re about to enter the world of Mamzelle_ji – get ready for some awesome DIY tutorials, beauty tips and love of good food!
We discovered her sporting a pair of Méduse JUMPY, meet Mamzelle_ji and her amazing tutorials! DIY-master, her blog is packed with brilliant ideas and good advice. She tells us everything about food, beauty and her quirky world!

“Jumpleo and the Jumpard are my favourites”

Méduse – You’re behind the lovely blog Diy-mais-pas-que, what made you start blogging?

Mamzelle_ji – Thank you for the compliment! I’ve always been a fiddler, but it all really started off as a joke with my gals. I started thinking that my articles could be useful to people, moreover it gave me the opportunity to realize my Do-It-Yourself and cooking ideas.

Méduse – We love your Do-It-Yourself tutorials, where are all these great ideas coming from?
Mamzelle_ji – I’m trying to follow trends, whether it’s about decor, cooking or fashion, pretty much anything I’m into. Very often, my ideas come from the observation that most of the stuff you find online is not available in stores, or it’s way off budget, and if you want it done right, you’ve got to do it yourself… Most of the time I’m happy with the result, even if I have to admit sometimes there are failures!

Méduse – You’re a whizz in the kitchen! If you had to go for only one, what would be your favourite dish?
Mamzelle_ji – A fish curry with coconut milk! In a saucepan, sear a few tomato, red pepper and onion cubes. Add coconut milk, curry paste, ginger and pieces of fish. Stew it all for a while and enjoy it with rice noodles or white rice. I’d go for a raspberry cheesecake on a lemon shortbread base as dessert!

Méduse – We have a challenge for you! The new collection is out now – so we challenge you to create a styleboard with your fave pair!
Mamzelle_ji – I fell for the Jumpleo and the Jumpard, I went for the Jumpard for my styleboard. A lovely khaki dress, a fitted beige trench for a chic and casual look, easy and perfect for a day in the office!

Thanks Mamzelle_ji! Your little recipe has whet our appetite! To discover more of Mamzelle_ji’s awesome tips and crafts, it’s on her blog Diy mais pas que!

Méduse talks with… Brèves au féminin

30 Sep , 2015

interview of french blogger breves au feminin V2
Last week we brought you an interview with fashionista Adeline, blogger of ‘Le Laboratoire Des Modes’! And this week, you’ve tuned into a quirky Q&A with Marion, Brèves au féminin!
Marion is a funky fashionista, with a lot to say! From her jet-setting travels, to her younger days with Méduse, Marion shares her special moments from the past to the present!

“When I was young and living by the seaside, I used to spend my afternoons rocking glitter Méduses!”

Countryside style

M – Brèves au féminin… What’s the story behind this lovely name?
B – When I started my blog in September 2014, deciding on a name wasn’t easy. I wanted something original, French and not too restrictive or I wouldn’t be able to talk about a wide range of topics. It’s my mum who actually had the idea « Brèves au Féminin », and I think it fits the blog’s spirit: a place where we can speak about anything – but with a focus on fashion and beauty.

Tunisian look

M – You’re a true jet-setter! What’s your favourite destination  you’ve visited?
B – Since I was a kid, I’ve been a globetrotter. I had the chance to discover many places, in France and abroad. I loved New York so much, but my best memory is a family road trip to Scotland. We went all over the country with our old Jaguar, visited several museums on the Scottish culture (kilts, whisky distilleries, Loch Ness…), discovered breath-taking landscapes in the Highlands, went to Edinburgh, Glasgow and we even slept in a “haunted” castle! I could spend hours telling you about our journey! If you have the chance to visit Scotland one day, go for it!

Clothes for Autumn and Winter

M – You’re now living in Nantes, next to where Méduse is from! What could you tell us about Nantes and fashion?
B – Nantes is such a dynamic city! There is always something to do (events, exhibition, festivals…). The city centre is populated with shops, both big names and independent designers. There’s plenty, for any taste and any style. And being (too much of) a shopaholic, is totally fine by me…

Summer style

M – We have a challenge for you! The new collection is out now! So we challenge you to create a styleboard with your fave pair!
B – When I was young and living by the seaside, I used to spend my afternoons rocking glitter Méduses! No surprise that I’m all about the shimmering one: the « JUMPAIL ». I also, really love the JUMPAT, JUMPMAT and JUMPER they’re all boots that I could definitely welcome to my shoe collection. For my look, I’m picking simple items that can be accessorized with some eccentric pieces, to bring an original touch to the style. With these cute glittery boots, I’ve chosen a marine blue autumn dress, a burgundy hat and a matching bag. To make the outfit stand out even more, I’ve chosen a slightly oversized black coat and a pair of tights. It’s a seasonal style, that I could totally wear, even on rainy days… and with my feet dry! 😉

Et voila! Thank you Marion for sharing a few words with us! We have to say – we’re now in the mood for shopping! Catch up with Marion’s latest happenings in fashion, lifestyle and travels on her blog Brèves au féminin!

Méduse in Nantes / City Guide

25 Sep , 2015

Nolwenn C, l'autruche nantaise, the great elephant
In case you didn’t know, Nantes is home to an elephant. Not Nelly, not Elmer but The Great Elephant. It’s also home to two fabulous fashion bloggers who model our current Autumn / Winter collection, Nolwenn & L’Autruche. From kicking their Méduse soles in our Nantes photoshoot, today they share their favourite fashion pieces to wear in the hotspots of the city!

Nantes and the erdre

Where to Eat!
Looking for some fab food to munch on this weekend? For tastes that are out of this world, L’Autruche recommends Afghan restaurant L’Ariana and Indian foodie place Inde et Vous for some fantastic flavours! If you’re looking for something a little closer to home, why not make a visit to 180g? In L’Autruche’s words it’s the ‘perfect pizza’ place!
Feeling adventurous? Nolwenn suggests having a surprise 3 course meal at Les Chants d’Avril! That’s right – notice the word ‘surprise’; it’s a mystery restaurant where no one knows what they’re going to be dining on! Or, if you’re after something with a little extra, Don Peppe’s pizza house is the place to try – the chef’s uber-coolness is happy to let you try some of his tastes – for free!
Nantes European Green Capital
What to Wear!

When visiting Nantes, you’re free to work your own style! This season, L’Autruche has an eye on an oversized cardigan from Topshop, teamed with a bright hmong bag from Ethnic Lanna and spectacular specs by DKNY! We think these trendy pieces will go perfectly with our JUMPER boots!
styleboard autruche
Contrarily, Nolwenn thinks simplicity is the way to style up, in Nantes this autumn! Wearing tones of black, grey and white matches the chic atmosphere – all that’s needed is a swipe of red lipstick! We think a trip to downtown Nantes calls for a black embellished skirt by Reiss, paired with a simple white blouse from H&M and a grey backpack by ZARA! All that’s left are our sparkly JUMPAIL boots, to help you trot around the city!

Lookboard nolwenn

What to do!
From now till Tuesday 29th September, the Wave exhibition is in town with a range of fun free events! In an open air garage, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the craziest mopeds, live gigs, t-shirt printing, market stalls and plenty more! serigraphy, free market and micro-shops… you don’t want to miss all that !

And another thing! Today, all the locals will light up one of the Nantes machines – Kadi, the wicker giant! From 6:30pm in the heart of the Savèze Park, come down to enjoy live music and all kinds of activities! Plus – stay late to watch an explosion of fireworks, to end the night with a bang!

Nantes

And there you have it! Whether you’re down for shopping, dining or simply strolling the streets showing off your autumn fashion, Nantes is the place to hit this season! Now you have the tips from the experts, what are you waiting for? Hit the town!

Méduse talks with… Le Laboratoire des Modes

23 Sep , 2015

Aurélie alias le laboratoire des modes
Last week we spoke to Yiyou from Mars… but this week it’s all about speaking to Le Laboratoire des Modes!
La Laboratoire des Modes is a Méduse superfan with a true passion for fashion! She reveals what life as a fashionista is like, including blogging, funny moments in fashion and what you can get up to in Nantes!

There has got to be rain shoes that are both chic and lovely, right? This is why I bought my first pair of adult Méduse!”

Adeline, blogger from Nantes, France

M –  We discovered you sporting a lovely outfit in Méduse on Instagram. Who’s behind the pseudo Le Laboratoire des Modes?
L – My name is Adeline Turbé-Mitard. After being a fashion secretary to the press in Paris for more than 10 years (for well and less-known brands, in women, men, luxury kids fashion, lingerie and jewellery), I settled in Nantes 4 years ago. Passionate about fashion, today I’m a freelance copywriter. I work with fashion brands but also brands that are beauty or tourism related (and other fields too, if there’s the opportunity!). Between press releases, e-commerce content, designers’ biographies, interviews, etc… my computer is my best friend ;-). I have also managed the blog ‘Le Laboratoire des Modes’ over the past 3 years, to keep a freedom of writing style, tone and themes. It’s also the opportunity for me to talk about my local and regional favorites and to meet designers behind a brand or a shop. For all of that, I’m constantly on the lookout for trends, news, projects in progress, shop openings, both in Nantes and elsewhere.

Outfit with Méduse Camaro

M – You’re a veteran fashionista with an established career in fashion! Do you have any crazy stories to tell us about?
L – Anecdotes about fashion? Needless to say, I have tons! The one I have in mind is in regard to the Paul Smith Junior collection launch in 2010. For the occasion, Paul Smith had re-created a classroom and a school yard in their showroom. That day, Paul Smith himself answered journalists’ questions sitting in a… child’s ride-in toy car! And he seemed so at ease!

Outfit by lelaboratoiredesmodes

M – You’re currently living in Nantes, right next to where Méduse is originally from! What would you recommend to our fashion-addicts stopping by or living in this beautiful city?

L – Nothing’s better to discover Nantes and its dynamism than the incredible area of the Machines de l’île! Such an amazing dose of creativity that, even after running 1000 times across the giant elephant (and even a dragon-mare), or after trying the Seaworld’s Carousel 1000 times (and staying at least 45 minutes in a merry-go-round), we are still amazed! For anyone craving shopping there is of course the rue Crébillon with all the unmissable major brands, but I’d especially recommend a visit to the Passage Pommeraye and its shops and then the Bouffay quarter, around the Castle. There are so many good places and stores! The city is so rich that there are hotspots constantly opening: fashion, decoration, kids, bikes, food… be ready to be surprised!

Aurélie taking a selfie

M – The new Méduse collection is out now so we wanna challenge you! We forwarded you a few emblematic shoes of this season – could you prepare a styleboard with your fave pair?
L – I love challenges ;-)! To prepare my styleboard I remembered a professional meeting where I arrived with leather derbies soaked with water, that drove me to come up with 2 statements: 1. It’s neither classy, nor comfortable, to have wet feet :-/ (never again!) 2. There have got to be rain shoes that are both chic and lovely, right? The is how and why I bought my first pair of adult Méduse and where is my styleboard idea coming from. To go non-stop with meetings even on rainy and windy days 😉

STYLEBOARD

To protect yourself from the wind : a BECKSONDERGAARD foulard sold at Rose Cobalt in Nantes
As a rain shield : a two-tone IKKS trench
To be chic at your meetings : a ONE STEP jacquard jacket with leopard prints
Because it’s a must-have : a striped jersey CLAUDIE PIERLOT
To be comfy : a brut denim I.CODE by IKKS
To keep my things protected : a big bag BA&SH with animal prints
To take notes : a Diptyque notebook TIGER PAPER
Last touch to my look : a garnet-colored red polish MANUCURIST
and to keep your feet dry : the essential MEDUSE JUMPERIC Caramel/Noir !

Thank you, Le Laboratoire Des Modes, super-fashionista and Nantes expert! Anyone with a love for fashion and Méduse like you is loved just as much by us! Don’t forget to visit Le Laboratoire Des Modes blog to get to know Adeline even better!

Méduse talks with… Yiyou from Mars

16 Sep , 2015

Yiyou from mars blogger
Last week we spoke to L’Autruche – this week it’s about Yiyou From Mars!
She’s a woman who loves fashion and loves the planet, fusing street style and environment empathy to create an ethic that Méduse adores! Join us in finding out more about exactly who is Yiyou…

“I’m passionate about vintage and retro fashion wear… like Méduse!”

Jupe jean boutons 70 Zara mini buttonned denim skirt top bustier vichy vinrage Lunettes à cils rose Zero UV converse basses blanche panier osier vintage

M – We’ve seen you sporting our SUN Méduses and we’re intrigued to know more about you! So tell us, who is Yiyou from Mars? And why this name ? 😉
A – My name is Aurélie, I’m a happy thirty-year-old feeling good in Méduse! 😀 “Yiyou” is an unpronounceable nickname my sister has called me since we were kids, and “from Mars” is there because I grew up in Marseille before moving to Paris for work, and finally, in 2011, to Bordeaux. I have a nostalgic personality and I like everything that reminds me of my childhood. That’s why I’m passionate about vintage and retro fashion wear… like Méduse!

meduse sun bag and white pants

M – You’ve been blogging about fashion and lifestyle for a while! What drove you to start this blog?
A – I love fashion, but not catwalk fashion: street fashion, where all trends truly begin. I like originality and style that stands loud and clear, style from people that dare to be different. When the ‘blogosphere’ started in 2005/2006, I found so much inspiration on retro and vintage styles from US and UK blogs. I got so inspired that I decided to stop buying fashion magazines in which I wasn’t identifying myself anymore and become a regular reader of a good ten of blogs or so. One day, I thought that if I loved discovering the looks of regular girls like me so much, maybe other girls would be interested in my style! I finally started my blog in 2012, but I’ve only been writing diligently recently.

Screen Shot 2015-09-11 at 17.51.30

M – We’ve noticed that just like Méduse, you care about the environment. Is that influencing your style?
A – Of course. It’s been a while since I realized the impact of our way of consuming the environment and on working conditions of the people manufacturing our clothes. I don’t like waste and I avoid promoting “fast-fashion”, meaning buying a lot of things and changing them often, as much as possible. I try to use  sustainable products by selecting quality fabrics or pieces I’ll be wearing for a long time. Vintage and thrift stores are a great way to fight over-consumption by giving a new life to second-hand clothes. I love digging for the best pieces online and in second-hand shops. Méduse are sturdy: I’m planning on keeping them for a long time!

Thank you, Yiyou from Mars! It’s so important to think about fashion and the Earth together, and you celebrate both – which Méduse LOVES! Don’t forget to head over to Yiyou’s blog to find out more about her super-cool street-inspired style!

Méduse talks with… L’Autruche

9 Sep , 2015

L'AUTRUCHE blogger from Nantes

At Méduse, we strive to seek out the underground talents who share our values. Every week, a new star…

Nantes is a super melting-pot of all styles. No one looks alike, that’s awesome!

Last week, you met Nolwenn Crème, one of our two models from the new collection.
This week, Méduse talks with… L’Autruche!

L'autruche

The lovely L’Autruche chats to us about her history and happiness with Meduse. Our second Nantaise blogger to model the new Autumn/Winter 2015/16 collection, there’s so much more to L’Autruche than just her love for jelly shoes!

M – Tell us about your history with Méduse from your childhood to the new Autumn / Winter 15/16 collection photo shoot. We’d love to see some pictures!

L’A – You’re right, my first memories with Méduse come from my childhood, when I used to holiday by the sea with my parents. I was always fooling around on the rocks, so Méduses were necessary to avoid being hurt. Since then, I started wearing the boots and rain boots. In Nantes, it’s often rainy, so having some in my shoe closet is essential.

Outfit Autruche Nantes

M – We’d like to hear a story about the photo shoot! What’s the best memory you’re keeping from this experience?

L’A – When the people in charge were wiping our shoes right before the photoshoot as it was raining so much! It was really fun to see them at our feet ahah 😉

Autruche at Place du Bouffay in Nantes
M – Méduse is touring France for the “style à la française” with the new collection. Starting point? Nantes of course! According to you, what makes Nantes an emblematic city of the “style à la française? Any specific place in the city? A trend? A tradition? Or is it something else?

L’A – I was born there and I’m slightly chauvinistic so I might not be totally objective 😉 But I’d say that Nantes is a super melting-pot of all styles. No one looks alike, that’s awesome!

L'Autruche place Graslin

M – According to you, what makes the new Méduse collection Autumn – Winter 15/16 original and why?
L’A – For its range! Any style, any taste, there’s plenty to make everyone happy. Living in Nantes, it’s perfect for us :)

M – What should be the next step of Méduse’s tour of France according to you? And why?
L’A – Hmmm, Beaupréau perhaps – because it’s where the Méduse shoes are made.

Yay, thank you L’Autruche! We love how much you love Meduse – we are all about happiness, dancing in the rain and lifelong celebrations of lots of jelly love, which you are too! A heavenly match! If you have as much love for L’Autruche as we do, don’t forget to check out our Nanataise star’s fabulous blog!

Méduse talks with… Nolwenn

2 Sep , 2015

Nolwenn Crème à Nantes

At Méduse, we strive to seek out the underground talents who share our values. Every week, a new star…

“Every year, I was gifted with a new pair of Méduses,
and I would always go with the most glittery ones!”

Last week, you’ve met Marion. This week, Méduse talks with… Nolwenn!

Nantaise blog star Nolwenn Crème, one half of Meduse’s new Autumn/Winter 2015/16 Collection, takes some time to tell us more about what Nantes, family and jelly shoes mean to her…

Nolwenn crème in skirt

M – Tell us about your history with Méduse, from your childhood to the new Autumn/Winter 2015-16 Collection photo shoot. We’d love to see some pictures!

N – I was so lucky to have grandparents taking me to Brittany at the Fouesnant forest every year in July! Over there, I would meet friends, ride my bike and go ‘fishing’ with my grandfather. We would look for winkles, cockles… and I wasn’t allowed to join without my Méduse! It was a matter of safety :) Thanks to that, every year, I was gifted with a new pair, and I would always go with the most glittery ones!

Nolwenn school is cool

M – We’d like to hear an anecdote about the photo shoot! What’s the best memory you’re keeping from this experience?

N – I loved this photo shoot even though the weather wasn’t so good! Rain, wind, cold temperatures… What was funny is when the rain would wet our Méduse! No big deal of course – thanks to the material, our feet were kept dry, but it still wasn’t aesthetically pleasing! So the Humeau Team would wipe our feet with a cloth between each photo! They were also holding our purses! Treatment for a princesss!!!
The best memory was the entire day, and the people I met. I was already friends with fellow blogger, L’Autruche. Now I know the Humeau brothers, the photographer Alain Moneger, the make-up artist Émilie Brunet… Such awesome and talented people!

Nolwenn Place Graslin

M – Méduse is touring France for the “style à la française” with the new collection. The starting point? Nantes of course! According to you, what makes Nantes an emblematic city of the “style à la française”? Any specific place in the city? A trend? A tradition? Or is it something else?

N – Nantes is an emblematic city of the “style à la française” for so many reasons! The city is charming: it has places like Graslin square, the Anne de Bretagne castle or the Pommeraye pathway; for its gastronomy as there are a lot of chefs in the region; for it’s Brittany influence and the mildly salted butter, for its Loire wines, for its emblematic families…

M – In your opinion, what makes the new Méduse Autumn/Winter 2015-16 Collection original and why?

N – Méduse are not just making kids’ plastic sandals anymore, and we want people to know it! They have such lovely boots and ankle-boots, plain colors, audacious cuts and the addition of leather on some models… I love the new collection: so chic and comfortable!

Nolwenn Crème

M – What should be the next step of Méduse tour of France? And Why?

N – I think that the next step of Méduse France tour should be Bordeaux! The Atlantic ocean runs along the city, and a lot of people, just like me, have memories of Méduse next to the Arcachon Bay, the Pyla sand dune… And also because the Bordeaux bloggers like La Penderie de Chloé or Noholita would be gorgeous in Méduse!

Nolwenn next to la Loire

We have so much jelly love for you, Nolwenn! Keep shining in Meduse and sharing your love for Nantes and nostalgic jelly tales. Thank you for a fab interview! Don’t forget, Meduse fans, to check out Nolwenn’s blog to read more about what makes Nolwenn a Meduse favourite. She’s the crème de la crème!

Méduse Talks… With Marion

26 Aug , 2015

Marion Claviere

At Méduse, we strive to seek out the underground talents who share our values. Every week, a new star…

I see Méduse as an extension of French traditions and the evolution of an emblematic shoe’

You’ve already met MeduseColor winners Charlotte and RhiannonThis week, Méduse talks with… Marion!

Earlier this summer, we challenged you guys to get colour crazy for our competition #MeduseColor. Many of you entered and showed off your colour creations, but there were three stand-outs who made it to the top! Introducing one of our winners: Marion Clavière, a lifestyle blogger with a passion for fashion, books, socks and Méduse!

Marion

Méduse –  Woohoo! You are now part of the Méduse family! So tell us a bit more about yourself – who are you, jelly lover?

Marion – I’m a 24 year old community manager and communication consultant, but I’m also a blogger who’s addicted to books and pretty socks!

Meduse jumpy salmon

Méduse – Méduse brings a lot of stories and memories from the past and present. What’s your story with Méduse?

Marion – Méduse is a story that’s stuck with my family; my grand-parents and parents don’t have the best memories but they were made to wear them if they went on holiday or if they went fishing! But to me it’s different. I see it as an extension of French traditions and the evolution of an emblematic shoe, made in France. Back in the day it was made to be worn when at the sea or by the lake, but now they are suitable for city life, going to work or even for wearing at parties!

Meduse sun black

Méduse – Sticking with the #MeduseColor theme, what’s your favourite colour? What does it represent to you?

Marion – I‘m definitely a person who loves classic things, so I’ll always opt for black or navy Méduses, but I must say, I fell for the straw-coloured Paille SUN during my holiday! They’re more colourful but they’re also cute and subtle – a perfect match for my classic look.

Sun black and bag

Méduse – Speaking of fashion, you won 3 very different pairs of Méduse shoes! How will you style each of them up? Where will you journey to in them? We’d love to see some pics!

Marion – I will be wearing my black SUN sandals everywhere this autumn, and I’ll be styling them with socks, tights, jeans or a skirt. I’ll either style them up with a complete black look for a fun touch, or in a preppy style with a skater skirt and a pretty blouse. But for work or meetings with clients, I’ll wear them with jeans and a blouse, for a smart / casual look.
My salmon JUMPY are so punchy! I picture wearing them for a casual rainy day ride or for a stylish Sunday morning at a market. They are absolutely perfect when worn with light colours, during summer rain.
My SALDANO are perfect to enjoy a good book sitting on the grass or by the shore of a lake!

saldano bronze leopard fuschia

Well Marion, you’re getting us ready for autumn – we’ll be rocking the socks and jellies look, don’t you worry! 😉 Many thanks for having a little chit-chat with us! We love your photos, and we know you’re gonna style up our Méduse just the way we like it – fun, French and original! Keep up to date with Marion’s blog Books & Socks here!
