Méduse talks with… Mamzelle H

21 Oct , 2015

Last week we caught up with DIY lover and foodie Mamzelle_ji who shared a mouth watering recipe and her style picks to match with our JUMPLEO boots! This week in the hot seat is Mamzelle Héloïse!

She stands proud to support the Made in France movement and she isn’t afraid to show the world what she’s got! Let us introduce fashion and lifestyle blogger from Bordeaux, Mamzelle Héloïse…
Mamzelle Heloise

I support French entrepreneurs and designers to support their recognition.”

M – Mamzelle H ! You’re a fashion and lifestyle blogger, what made you start blogging?
MH – The desire to share, interact, exchange… my friends encouraged me to go for it, and as a communication manager I thought it’d be fun to work for myself :-)

M – We’ve noticed that, like Méduse, you were a Made in France supporter. How does it influence your style ?
MH – The Made in France movement is something I deeply believe in – not just for consumption but the people behind it. I support French entrepreneurs and designers to support their recognition… To me, they have a true added value compared to ‘made in China.’ There are a lot of taxes in France and it’s hard to compete with the fashion industry giants, so I try as much as I can to promote these people. Eventually, I’m like everyone else and I shop at H&M, Zara… but my long term and frequent partners are only French brands.

M – De quelle série êtes vous totalement fan en ce moment ?
It’s not very original but I love The Walking Dead, Games of Thrones and Breaking Bad… besides these, I don’t watch TV that much so I don’t know many more.

M – We have a challenge for you! The new collection is out now so we challenge you to create a styleboard with your fave pair!

At Méduse, we strive to seek out the underground talents who share our values. Every week, a new star…

Yo! Yo! Between Paris, where she is living her student life – let’s be honest, that’s really PARTY, PARTY, PARTY (haha) and Bordeaux, where she is loving life under the sun and on beaches – well, for us – that still means party, party, party! 😉 Joséphine is painting the town pink!

Jo7 - Meduse interview

On your Instagram you describe yourself as a girl between two cities! How do you identify yourself as a Parisian? And as a Bordelaise girl?

I would say that Paris represents my student life, filled with cultural activites. It’s a city I really love, every street corner is beautiful, I could walk for hours on end, if I had time!

Bordeaux is a place for my holidays – I love the sun and the beach life. It’s my family town, where I spent my childhood.

We spent some time on your Instagram, and we noticed that you love pink! So what does this colour mean to you?

Oh yes indeed, I have a little addiction for the colour! For me, it’s a colour which represents softness and childhood, as well as femininity and sensuality. And well, it’s pink – it always makes people happy!

Jo8- Meduse interview

We love going on an adventure! Where would you take Méduse in Bordeaux?

Without any hesitation, I would take you to the Miroir d’Eau. It’s not very original but Méduse would be perfect to be in, by the water. Otherwise, I would take my Méduse to Karl for brunch, walk around St Catherine street and enjoy the taste of cannelés on a terrace. Once, I put on my Méduse during shopping, and people were very surprised, to see me wearing these kinda shoes on the street. But I am 100% proud to wear them!

You’re the queen for the day, what do you do?

I would demand that pink would be the dress-code for everyone, or people would have to pay a fine! And of course, having free shopping / shop without paying 😉

What do you have in your bag?

  • Red lipstick (I can’t live without it)
  • A nail file
  • Hand sanitiser
  • A toiletry bag
  • My pink Ipod
  • My pink notebook
  • My glasses
  • My purse, of course

Challenge! We’d like you to tell a joke for April Fool’s!

I’m really rubbish at jokes but I’ll give it a go!

What’s a Méduse (jellyfish) in chocolate called?

A Kinder chocolate!
…. I told you I was rubbish.

Ah come on! That’s a very sweet joke! If it’s mentioning Méduse – we will always love it 😉

Thanks Joséphine! We’re hoping for more surprises on your Instagram! Guys, we encourage you to have a look her awesome / arty photos – it’s even better than her joke! Haha 😉

Méduse Talks… With Boutique Addict

11 Mar , 2015

Méduse Jumpy boots by boutique addict

At Méduse, we strive to seek out the underground talents who share our values. Another week, another star…

You guys have been making us ROAR all week! So much so, that the king of the jungle, would be jealous!

We said goodbye to caffeine as we were buzzed by our animal print theme this week, and the weekend is set to look fierce! We went to a land far, far, away to explore the animal print world, and to end this week we spoke to a true Méduse star who has consistently shown her apt for trendy fashion and styles. We give you Virginie, of Boutique Addict who shares her opinions on the fashions she’s fallen in love with!

Is it the way you dress that influences your mood? Or rather your mood inspiring the way you dress?

My mood inspires my daily look 😉 and the weather forecast of course! When it’s raining, I like to dress with lots of colour, or some quirky accessories. When it’s cold, I like to dress with soft shades and I make sure that I’m comfy

Does wearing your zebra Jumpy or leopard print Jumpy make you feel wilder? More energetic?
I like my zebra Jumpy because they are have a fashionable quirkiness. I wear them whenever it’s raining and I find that they enhance my outfit. So yes, I feel more energetic when I wear them and I can stay stylish even if it’s raining!
What colour do you prefer to wear with this kind of animal print?
I prefer to wear them with coordinating the beige colour to highlight the zebra print of the boots. :-) I find that grey also matches well.

Could you draw an animal that represents you? ( No worries, we are not expecting a piece of art, a quick sketch on Paint will be perfect :-D )
Here is the sketch:

It’s not a secret that we adore the accessories you pick every day. That’s why we challenge you: take a picture of yourself or your team, wearing some animal print accessories whilst posing like a wild animal! Challenge accepted? If you complete the challenge, you can challenge us to do something! ;-)

Here is the picture of myself (right) with my assistant!

Watch out! She’s coming to get you!

Thank you Virginie! We hope to come and visit you in Bordeaux sometime soon! We’re dreaming of discovering your wild treasures and chatting about exotic fashion with you!

Follow the queen of styling accessories on her Instagram and Facebook! She snaps quirky styling tips and shows how certain items can mix and match with one another. She’s a fashionista to keep an eye on!

Ciao for now!
